Ford Focus Service Manual: Quarter Trim Panel - 4-Door
Removal and Installation
- Remove the D-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to D-Pillar
Trim Panel in this section.
- Remove the rear seat bolster. For additional information, refer to Section
501-10.
- Remove the safety belt lower anchor.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
- Position aside the rear door weatherstrip.
- Remove the upper quarter trim panel bolt cover.
- Remove the upper quarter trim panel bolt.
- Remove the upper and lower quarter trim panels.
- Pull the upper quarter trim panel outward to release the upper quarter
trim panel retaining clips.
- Remove the safety belt from the lower quarter trim panel.
- Remove the safety belt retractor bezel from the lower quarter trim panel.
- Remove the safety belt retractor bezel from the safety belt.
- Feed the safety belt through the lower quarter trim panel.
- NOTICE: To avoid damage to the quarter trim panels, remove any retaining
clips from the body and attach them to the quarter trim panel before installing.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- To install, make sure to align the trim panel retaining clips to the
retaining clip holes in the body.
