Ford Focus Service Manual: Quarter Trim Panel - 2-Door
Removal and Installation
- Remove the C-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to C-Pillar
Trim Panel in this section.
- Remove the door scuff plate trim panel. For additional information, refer
to Scuff Plate Trim Panel in this section.
- Position aside the door weatherstrip.
- Remove the lower anchors and tethers for children and the rear seat backrests.
For additional information, refer to Section 501-10.
- Remove the safety belt retractor bezel.
- NOTICE: The quarter trim panel has 2 crash foam blocks that are adhered
to it. Care must be taken not to damage the crash foam blocks during removal
and installation.
Remove the quarter trim panel.
- Pull the quarter trim panel outward to release the quarter trim panel
retaining clips.
- NOTICE: To avoid damage to the quarter trim panel, remove any retaining
clips from the body and attach the clips to the quarter trim panel before installing.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- To install, make sure to align the trim panel retaining clips to the
retaining clip holes in the body.
