Removal and Installation
NOTE:
For non-functional ignition lock cylinders, the steering column
lock module has to be replaced. For additional information, refer to Section
211-05.
- Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver. For additional
information, refer to Section 419-01B.
- Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
- Insert and turn the ignition key to the ACC position.
- Using a suitable tool, press the detent.
- Remove the lock cylinder.
- If a new lock cylinder with keys is replaced, the new PATS keys must be
programmed. For additional information, refer to Key Programming Using Diagnostic
Equipment in Section 419-01B.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
