NOTE:

Remove the seat backrest cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest Cover — Rear in this section.

Release the retainer and detach the release cable from the backrest frame.
- Route the release strap through the hole in the foam pad.

Remove the 2 nuts and backrest latch.
- To install, tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
