Removal and Installation
All vehicles
WARNING: Do not
use any fluid other than clean brake fluid meeting manufacturer's specification.
Additionally, do not use brake fluid that has been previously drained. Following
these instructions will help prevent system contamination, brake component damage
and the risk of serious personal injury.

NOTICE: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with water.
Cap the hose connections to prevent fluid loss.
Disconnect the brake fluid reservoir-to-master cylinder tube.
Vehicles with manual transaxle
All vehicles
Cap the brake tube connections to prevent fluid loss.
Disconnect the brake tube fittings.
Make sure that the master cylinder-to-booster seal is removed with the master cylinder.
Remove and discard the 2 brake master cylinder nuts and remove the brake master cylinder.
Before installing the master cylinder make sure that the new vacuum seal is in place and that the mating faces are clean.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
